Arnold Bloch Leibler is pleased to have acted for ASX-listed Retail Food Group in the major Federal Court class action proceeding commenced against it by Michel’s Patisserie franchisees concerning the highly publicised “fresh to frozen” initiative.

The Court has today made orders approving the settlement of that class action on terms involving dismissal of the proceeding, without Retail Food Group making any admission or any payment to the applicant, the class or the funder.

This follows Arnold Bloch Leibler’s earlier successful resolution of ACCC proceeding commenced against Retail Food Group on terms involving no admission or penalty against the company.

Retail Food Group is a global food and beverage company and Australia’s largest multi-brand retail food franchise manager. It is the owner of several iconic Australian and international brands, including Gloria Jean’s, Donut King, Brumby’s Bakery, Michel’s Patisserie and Crust Pizza.

The Arnold Bloch Leibler team comprised Zaven Mardirossian (Partner), Gabriel Sakkal (Partner) and Michael Riordan (Lawyer).
