With the ATO now re-focusing on compliance programs directed at private wealth, Arnold Bloch Leibler’s renowned tax practice has developed an online portal to provide clients and tax practitioners with current information as three new compliance programs are rolled out.
Reflecting the ATO’s categories of wealth measurement, these three new programs are known as the Top 500, Next 5000 and Medium and Emerging Private Groups.
“Our extensive experience from similar reviews for large private, public and international groups suggests that taxpayers who prepare early achieve much better outcomes,” said national tax practice lead Paul Sokolowski. “Our new tax portal is designed to be a go-to resource from the time people begin to plan and prepare to engage with the ATO, right through to the completion of any risk review and/or audit activity.”
Over the coming months, the portal will feature ABL tax partners and senior tax lawyers providing insights and advice on a range of topics and emerging areas of risk.
